Travel with Nhiam
Welcome, traveler.
My name is Nhiam, Elder of Two Arches, collector of stories, occasional mapmaker, and reluctant expert on asking questions that no one seems willing to answer directly.
Over the years I have journeyed across Akaria, visiting distant villages, hidden sanctuaries, ancient forests, mountain passes, and places that occasionally disagree with conventional calendars.
Along the way I have shared tea with old friends, listened to remarkable stories, collected recipes, sketched maps, and learned more than I ever expected about wisdom, courage, friendship, and hope.
Each month I invite you to join me on a new journey.
Together we will travel across Akaria, meeting Keepers, healers, explorers, musicians, caretakers, and even the occasional ancient being who insists everything is proceeding according to plan.
Each journey includes:
- A four-part interview with one of Akaria’s remarkable people
• Recipes gathered along the way
• Nhiam’s Illustrated Journal
• A Traveler’s Map of Akaria
• Reflections, humor, and lessons learned from the road
Whether you are new to Akaria or have traveled its paths for years, there is always another story waiting beyond the next hill.
I hope you will come along.
Travel well,
Nhiam

“The world is larger than you think, and every journey begins with curiosity.”
Nhiam’s Journeys
Journey #1: An Afternoon in Thorgisl’s Workshop
Deep in the heart of Two Arches, the steady ring of hammer against stone echoes from Thorgisl’s workshop. Surrounded by sculptures, memories, and marble dust, Nhiam spends an afternoon with the Keeper of the Earth Seal discussing art, friendship, destiny, and the people who helped shape his life. Along the way, Thorgisl reflects on the path he never expected to walk and leaves Nhiam with a question that will lead to the next journey.
“The piece you planned to carve is rarely the one hidden inside.”

🍎 Recipe from the Road
Frosted Apple Cider
A favorite of the Southern Mountain Lodge. Crisp apple cider blended with maple syrup and warm spices, served ice cold after a day in the mountains.
